About Chris Kling, Portrait and Landscape Artist

Chris Kling, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1978. She has lived in Perry, Florida, Mobile, Alabama, Jacksonville, Florida, St. Augustine, Florida and abroad in Singapore. She is married and currently resides in Stuart, Florida.

Ms. Kling has participated in and received numerous awards from shows throughout the southeastern region of the United States and with the Portrait Society of America, from which she received an award for her portrait of "Molly" as well as a Portfolio Award. She has received many commissions for her oil portraits and landscapes and her work is in numerous private and corporate collections in the United States as well as international collections.

She has studied at the workshops of Mary Britten Lynch, Morgan Samuel Price, Joe Taylor, Larry Moore and the portrait workshops of Ann Kenyon, Daniel Greene, Steven Assael and Rob Liberace. She has attended the Portrait Arts Festival in Montgomery, Alabama, and the Portrait Society of America's portrait conferences held in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, all of which are attended by portrait artists from around the world.

She is a member of the Portrait Society of America, Plein Air Florida, Oil Painters of America, and Women Painters of the Southeast.
